This nib is ground by taking a broad nib or wider by taking the tipping and grinding a flat spot to create a circular writing surface. Then, the tipping should be ever so slightly curved and rounded at the edges in order to prevent the tipping from catching on the paper. Though this nib seems like a simple grind, the angle and the rounding requires more precise thought in execution in order to ensure that it creates a consistent and smooth line as it writes on paper.
